Celebrating Our Principal, Mrs. Eileen RobertsCelebrando a nuestra directora, la Sra. Eileen Roberts

Eileen RobertsOctober is National Principals Month, with “Principals Week” being celebrated across the nation. Join us as we recognize and celebrate all of our school-building leaders in EASD 131, including Principal Eileen Roberts from KD Waldo Middle School. Behind every great school is a caring principal. Mrs. Roberts, thank you for your hard work and dedication to students and families, and for the important role you play in helping all students reach their full potential!

Waldo is proud to welcome Mrs. Roberts to our staff. She began her education at ISU. Where she graduated with her MS endorsements in math, social studies, and language arts. Then Mrs. Roberts moved to Missouri and attended Lindenwood University where she earned her Type 75 and obtained a character education certificate. Mrs. Roberts then obtained her degree in Director of Special Education. Throughout this time, she has been an administrator for 13 years. Mrs. Roberts worked in all areas of need all the way up to a correctional facility. She is currently working on earning her superintendent’s endorsement. 

Mrs. Roberts grew up in Schaumburg, Illinois, and attended Conant HS. She lived in Missouri for many years but since moved back to Illinois to be closer to family. Mrs. Roberts and her husband (who is also a teacher) have been married for 19 years and have two children. The Roberts’ family are athletic and loves animals. Mrs. Roberts enjoys playing golf, and softball, crafting, being team mom to her son’s football team and coaching her daughter’s softball team. Mrs. Roberts’ first priority is her family. She loves to spend time with her husband and kids. When there is time, she and her husband enjoy watching Yellowstone and Corba Kai. 

Mrs. Roberts wanted to thank everyone for selecting her to be the new principal at KD Waldo MS. Her famous favorite quote everyone at Waldo knows is “ make it a great day, or not: the choice is yours”.

Acompáñenos mientras reconocemos y celebramos a todos nuestros líderes de edificios escolares en el EASD 131, incluyendo a la directora Eileen Roberts de la escuela KD Waldo Middle School. Detrás de cada gran escuela hay un director atento. ¡Sra. Roberts, gracias por su trabajo duro y dedicación a los estudiantes y a las familias, y por el importante papel que desempeña para ayudar a todos los estudiantes a alcanzar su máximo potencial!

La escuela Waldo está orgullosa de dar la bienvenida a la Sra. Roberts a nuestro personal. Comenzó su educación en la universidad de ISU (por sus siglas en inglés). Donde se graduó con sus endosos de MS en Matemáticas, Estudios Sociales y Artes del Lenguaje. Luego, la Sra. Roberts se mudó a Missouri y asistió a la Universidad de Lindenwood, donde obtuvo su Tipo 75 y obtuvo un certificado de educación del carácter. Después, la Sra. Roberts obtuvo su título de directora de educación especial. Durante todo este tiempo, ha sido una administradora por 13 años. La Sra. Roberts trabajaba en todas las áreas de necesidad hasta en un centro penitenciario. Actualmente está trabajando en obtener su endoso de superintendente.

La Sra. Roberts creció en Schaumburg, Illinois y asistió a la preparatoria de Conant. Vivió en Missouri durante muchos años, pero desde entonces se mudó de nuevo a Illinois para estar más cerca de la familia. La Sra. Roberts y su esposo (que también es un maestro) llevan 19 años casados y tienen dos hijos. La familia Roberts es atlética y ama a los animales. A la Sra. Roberts le gusta jugar al golf, al softball, hacer artesanía, ser la madre del equipo de fútbol de su hijo y entrenar al equipo de softball de su hija. La primera prioridad de la Sra. Roberts es su familia. Le encanta pasar tiempo con su esposo y sus hijos. Cuando tienen tiempo, ella y su esposo les gusta ver Yellowstone y Cobra Kai.

La Sra. Roberts quería dar las gracias a todos por haberla elegido para ser la nueva directora de KD Waldo MS. Su cita favorita, que todos conocen en Waldo, es “haz que sea un gran día, o no: la elección es tuya”.
