Congratulations to Waldo Middle School’s boys soccer team, who won the City of Lights Soccer Tournament on October 3. The Wildcats defeated Jefferson 4-1 to claim the championship held at Stuart Sports Complex. Waldo ended the season 12-0-1. Players include: Javier Aguirre, Octavio Avila, Jose Aviles, Christian Cardoza, Angel Duarte, Alexis Guevara, Angel Hernandez, Cristian Ibarra, Daniel Martinez, Andrick Mondragon, Angel Moreno, Abiezer Rascon, Kevin Sotelo, Alexis Teran, Jamie Valtierrez, and Santiago Vilchis. The Wildcats are coached by Raffe Benavides, Fran Olsen & Ian Jones. We salute our fine young athletes at Waldo. Way to go, Wildcats!
